YOMENYA GOEMON @ GREENBELT
A master franchise from Japan, Yomenya Goemon Philippines offers the same casual ambiance and cook-to-order food service as in the rest of their 2,500 branches abroad. But for the Philippine menu, they streamlined their many pasta varieties into 30 kinds (still enough for you to taste a different kind of pasta every day). The Japanese chefs also tweaked the Western-Japanese menu to incorporate Filipino flavors like Shrimp and Scallop with Crab Paste (P325) and Longganisa Pizza (P395). Japanese, Italian, American, and now somewhat Filipino at the same time, Goemon clearly has no issues in adapting to new cultures.
Don’t come here expecting crispy Italian pizzas. At Goemon, pizzas are made to please. Thin and thick at the same time, the crust is extremely pliable at the center and chewy at the sides. If you’re a fan of India’s naan bread, then you’d probably like Goemon’s take on pizzas.
Hardcore cheese addicts on the other hand are crazy over Goemon’s Smoked Chicken with Four Cheeses (P350) pizza.
Also, their Iced Coffee (85.00) would really perk you up as you take a sip. Strong yet subtle as it flows down your throat.
